Today October 30th, Mr.Akinori Seki – the president of AAEE made a courtesy visit to Vietnam National University – High School for the Gifted with the accompany of AAEE’s staff members. After the Vietnam – Japan High School Science Exchange successfully concluded two weeks ago, Mr. Seki had a reunion with the vice principal of the school and Vietnamese participants. They conducted a small post-program discussion in which students’ feedbacks were given and AAEE’s official answers and advice were exchanged. When asked about how the program should improve, Vietnamese students wished they could have more time to have deeper understanding about their Japanese partners. Mr.Seki expressed his eagerness to witness the science exchange between the two high schools. Some topics about future career and studying plans were also brought on the table.
Besides the discussion, Mr.Seki also surprised the students with beloved letters and postcards that he brought with him all the way from Japan. Takada high school students asked Mr.Seki to bring some small gifts for their friends in Vietnam as a thank-you note for their kindness during the program. This marked a further development in the friendship between the two schools ‘students, which is a remarkable milestone for AAEE’s exchange programs.
