- PLAN EARLY: Before applying, thorough preparation is a must because the process might be complex and you should take time to fill in and review as soon as possible before the deadline. That will provide you more time to prepare and double check whether you make any mistake or misinformation.
- LIST UNIQUE SKILLS: Now that you started, make your application as strong as possible. There are a wide range of personalities, experience levels, and skills that can make an applicant a great candidate for the program. The best applications should include current qualifications and certifications, how long you have been involved in the skill, and what specific aspects of the skill you can contribute to the program. The more unique your skills are, the stronger your application become.
- BE DETAILED: Use detailed information in every aspect that you describe about yourself, your experience and qualifications. It is easy to understand that if the organizers get a better picture of you, they will be able to select you according to the requirements in the program. For example: You joined Earth Hour 2014 – an environmental volunteer program. To make your application outstanding, you can add in some information about how many people you inspired them to stop littering on streets, what actions you performed in campaign, etc. By doing that, you can prove what you have done specifically to the judges.
