LIFE ON CAMPUS: SELF-STUDYING ROOMS

<Vietnam>

-LIFE ON CAMPUS: SELF-STUDYING ROOMS

Due to the governmental tight budget, universities and colleges in Vietnam are rarely equipped with advanced facilities or spacious rooms for students to maximize their academic life. In spite of these difficulties, on campus, there are some special rooms called “self-studying rooms” with only chairs and tables where students can study, read books or even gossip. Vietnamese students are so creative, they make use of these rooms for many other purposes. These could be a place for a club to discuss an extracurricular activity or a perfect place for musical rehearsal or to take a nap after strenuous studying. This makes our campus life more colorful and interesting though the facilities seem not to favor us. We still enjoy the university environment. We love to make new friends and share with each other our stories. Intangibly, friendship acts as a glue that tightens us with the strong root. In this writing, I would like to depict a realistic picture of Vietnamese campus life. This will not be a barricade but a motive for Vietnamese Young Generation to keep moving forward for the triumphant future. We shall miss “SELF-STUDYING ROOMS” a lot when we graduate from the university to create our own deeds and justify the saying: “Harsh conditions form a brave man”.
