Exchange programs

[Exchange programs]

As the relationship between Japan and Asian countries is growing deeper in substance, there are more and more exchange programs awarded to Asian youth with opportunities to visit Japan and enjoy the cultural wonders. Among them are three famous types of programs that have been captured great attention from many Asian students. The first one is short-term exchange tours in which Asian youth have a chance to spend 1 or 2 weeks in Japan to experience allures and values of Japan through various activities. Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) and The Youth-
Exchange Project with Asia-Oceania and North America (Kizuna) launched by Japan’s government and Japan International Cooperation Center are the 2 most famous examples recently. These 2 programs entail a wide array of activities for Asian youth in Japan such as courtesy visit to governmental offices, schools and corporates, homestay, culture swap.
These are called invitation program as they welcome young generation to come to Japan.
Meanwhile, there are also Dispatch Programs that sends young Japanese students to other countries or regions to broaden their views to the world. It is not difficult to figure out that Vietnam Japan Youth Exchange (VJYE) belongs to this type of program.
As Japanese students participate in this exchange, they will learn about society, culture and lifestyle of the local residents during their field trips, school exchanges and homestay.
These short-term exchange opportunities are created so that they can promote the mutual understanding and trust between Japan and other regions. Are you excited to become participants of these above programs? There are two more types of exchange programs coming up next. Stay tuned and be updated with AAEE for more information.
